A pastor with 550,000 miles on his truck might not look like your typical ministry story, and that’s exactly why this conversation sticks. Anthony takes us from a strict but loving childhood shaped by his grandmother’s church faith, to the teenage years where he ran hard in the other direction, and then to the moment his own daughter invited him back.

We dig into what Christian calling and obedience really look like when life gets messy. Anthony shares how ministry grew step by step: serving in a middle-school church plant, feeling the tug toward youth ministry, getting trained, preaching, and eventually being ordained. Then came COVID, burnout, and a surprising pivot into RV transport, trucking across the country while building a YouTube ministry. If you’ve ever felt stuck waiting for the “big change,” you’ll love his simple decision-making prayer: “God, if this is you, open the doors. But if it’s not, close them.”

Welcome And Meeting Anthony

Nancy Bruscher

Welcome to Ordinary People, Extraordinary Things. Thank you so much for being here and listening. And Anthony, thanks for being on the podcast.

Anthony Lucas

Oh, I'm super pumped to be here. And as we, you know, getting to meet new people as the uh as my podcast grows. And I'm just I'm super excited just to see where God's taking this. And so I'm definitely excited to be here to get to hang out and get to know you all a little bit, get to know you a little better as well.

Nancy Bruscher

Well, thank you. If people don't know who you are, can you give three words or phrases to describe yourself?

Anthony Lucas

Um, well, I'm a uh a pat or I'm actually a pastor. I was a youth minister for several years, and uh, but I'm definitely a family man and like you know, love the outdoors, hard working, and uh just uh pretty fun. I like to goof off a lot too. So just I'm one of those just kind of easygoing country boys.

Family Life And Grandkids Outdoors

Nancy Bruscher

And what's your family look like?

Anthony Lucas

Uh we have uh you know, me and my wife, we've been married for 31 years, and uh we have uh two kids and four grandbabies. Oh, we're gonna get to see the youngest one tomorrow. He's down in North Carolina, and and the place I'm delivering is like about an hour north. So we you know it's gonna be a short visit, but we get to go wrestle him a little bit, so that's good. Oh, that's so fun. That's great. Yeah, and our son lives here in town close to us, and uh our other three grandsons live here, so we get to see them quite a bit, so it's pretty good. And get they're all about outdoors and fishing, so I get to do some camping and stuff with them too. So, you know, we're uh we're pretty close-knit family and you know, uh like to do things together.

Leaving Church Then Coming Back

Nancy Bruscher

That's what that's wonderful. Can you tell me about your faith journey? When did you believe in Jesus? How did that all happen for you?

Anthony Lucas

Um well, I was kind of born and raised with my I lived with my grandmother for several years, and if the church doors was open, that's where we were. And uh and when I got into my teenage years, you know, that rebellious stage, it was I ran and didn't look back. And uh, and then you know, me and my wife got together and we had our daughter, and uh, and so when she hit middle school, she actually started going to a uh FCA, which is that fellowship of Christian athletes, in her school with a friend, and uh and she met this pastor, Mark Gerald, and they they had planted a church and they were meeting at the uh the middle school on Sunday mornings, and he was uh leading part of the FCA with one of a couple of the teachers, and well, she accepted Christ, and she came home and and said, Dad, I want to get uh baptized and I want you all to come with me. And so I'm you know, at this time I'm like, I don't really want to go, but how are they gonna you know baptize her in a middle school anyway? So I'm told I said I would. And uh, you know, and so the Sunday morning that I was supposed to go to church with her, I was hoping that she had forgotten. Well, she didn't. And so I went that morning with her, and it was a year and a half before I missed my first Sunday, and uh, and we were doing a free uh car wash and hot dog giveaway uh with the uh uh with the church and stuff, but it was then is when I you know fully surrendered and gave my life to Christ was in 2008. We did that car wash and stuff together, and it was like later that evening we had a baptism and I was baptized, and it was actually got to uh be baptized together with my son, and so that was pretty cool. You know, both uh you know me being in the water when he came in. So, but uh it's just been a uh just a fantastic journey uh just to watch you know what God has done in my life. And I look back at all the years that I went as a kid, going, man, my grandma really had it together, you know, thankful that she was praying for me and you know, really, you know, kind of set the foundation, I guess. Uh and so yeah, I've been serving since. And then uh I was in about a year, I guess, and I felt God was you know starting to call me towards the ministry. And my wife and I were.

Nancy Bruscher

You are baptized, and then about a year later is what you're saying.

Anthony Lucas

Yeah, about a year later, and now we were pretty active in the church, you know, serving. I was helping set up the because it was a complete setup teardown type of thing. All the sound equipment, you know, the stage had to be set, you know, banners put up, and you know, because we were in a middle school, and uh so we were pretty active. We were in uh home groups, and uh, and I started feeling that Tug God was calling me to into ministry, didn't have any clue what that meant or what it looked like, but I kept feeling like it was teaching students. And me and my wife were sitting at our dining room table, and I and I looked at her and I was telling her, and she's like, Well, you don't really know much about that. And I'm like, I know, all right. I was like, I have no idea, and uh, and so you know, I just like I'm yeah, we're gonna I'm gonna keep praying about it and seeing then uh I think it was probably the following Tuesday, I sat down with the senior pastor, which is Mark Gerrell, and and told him what I'd been feeling, and uh, and he's like, and I said something about working with students in the youth group, and he's like, Well, it's funny you should say that. He's like, I have one spot open on my team, and I'm like, okay, this is the God thing. And uh, and so and it just went from there. I began uh teaching and just playing with the students, just acting goofy, you know, doing games and you know, just just being with them and uh getting to know them. And uh, and as we continue to progress, I felt that calling continued and wanted to go, wanted to be a youth pastor. And uh, and so I started doing looking into schools, schooling and uh West Virginia School of Christian Studies, which is part of Palmer Seminary. Uh, did four years for that and did the pastoral ministry and and I took over the youth group in December of 2011 and was licensed to preach uh that you know in 2012. And so, and then of course, and I didn't finish my schooling until 2014 and was finally ordained in 2021. And so it's just been uh it's been a fantastic ministry experience. There's been a lot of highs, lows, and in-betweens.

Nancy Bruscher

Yeah.

Called Into Youth Ministry Over Time

Nancy Bruscher

Oh, what are you still doing that now? Are you still a youth pastor?

Anthony Lucas

Um, I left uh youth ministry shortly, it was during the COVID. Um there was just so much happening. I was driving school bus too, which is part of the I looked as an extension as ministry. But um, prior to COVID happening, um, before my ordination, I felt God tell me, it's like in two years, major changes are coming. And I'm like, I have no idea what that means. And but I'm just going through, and then they start talking about the ordination, and then COVID, and I'm like, okay, this is it. This is a big change. You know, we got all this stuff happening in the world, and I'm gonna be ordained, and nope, it wasn't even uh even close. The RV transport uh started coming around. I'm like, I uh to this day, I did I've never researched it, never even knew it was a thing until 21 or around 2000, yeah, it was in 2020, somewhere around there, started coming around, and uh and I was just kind of feeling some burnout and you know, just some things that was you know, there was a whole lot happening, you know, and so uh and I felt like that was just time to step down or step away from it, and uh God showed me this new path, wanted me to start the YouTube channel. Uh, and it was like I was walking down the steps here at my house, and it was on the road with Pastor Anthony sharing Jesus in life one mile at a time. And and I was like, I'm not that creative, that had to be a God thing. So but uh and so during that you know, that time that you know this interchange, but and I began to you know start praying about it. Me and my wife were talking, and you know, it was another one of those I never dreamed that I would be back doing trucking, you know, because early on in life that's all I ever wanted to do, and I did that. You know, I did three you know, three years of on the road, and then uh you know, did almost 12 years of local uh driving before I went into school bus and in the youth ministry. And uh, and so now here I'm looking at going back out, but in a different capacity this time. It was driving a pickup, pulling campers all over the country, and uh and then doing this YouTube. And I was like, I don't know nothing about it. I am not technological at all, you know, and I'm still learning quite a bit, and uh, you know, but I have learned a lot, and you know, just been watching the the the journey grow, uh doing the you know uh different messages, teaching stuff, you know, working on the truck, but every every video ends with prayer. God's honored in it somehow, some way, and you know, every video that I do, and some are just straight up messages. Then I began to kind of transfer into this podcast. So I've been watching God just kind of it's been that slow next step, the next step, the next step. And I do still uh pulpit supply. So if a church is in, you don't have a pastor or needs uh someone's gonna be on vacation, they'll call me and then I'll go preach at their church and uh get to hang out with them for that day. And uh so it's been a lot of fun. It's definitely, I mean, took me out of my comfort zone and really shook things up, and you know, and definitely not in a direction that I would have ever seen coming, but you know, that's God. So uh and I'm just along for the ride.

Nancy Bruscher

Yeah,

Burnout And A New Direction

Nancy Bruscher

I feel like that's a very like a lot of people feel that, right? As far as I'm not really sure what the next step is, or like what you said also as far as I felt something was going to be changing, and then just waiting for that is super hard. You said you waited for about two years and thought that some of these things that were in place were the big change. So, what would you say to someone that feels like they're in that same spot right now?

Anthony Lucas

Um I'd say just you know keep praying it through and when a door opens, you know, walk through it. And and that was one of the things that made my wife pray whenever I was looking to get into RV transport. God, if this is you, open the doors. But if it's not, close them. And I think that's a prayer that a lot of people need to do uh when they're trying to make big, huge life decisions, changes, you know, whatever that may be, is you know, is put it in God's hands, you know, take it out of yours, you know, because I've found out, you know, and I've learned a lot of lessons falling on my face that when I try to do it and try to make it you know better or whatever, it usually doesn't go as well. So I've you know, it's one of the things that I've learned over these last few several years is you know, slow down, you know, pray it through, allow God to direct the path, and you know, and it'll go way smoother. So uh I'm getting better at it, you know, because I've always been known as a bull in the china shop that you know I want to, you know, I gotta be the you know the guy that does it and fixes it, whatever. And so uh it's really just a learning experience. You that you really just have to set with God and just be still and know that he's God and you know, uh and allow him to guide and direct your path as you as you move forward, but never go backwards, always move forward. You know, if you if you make a mistake or mess up or fail something, I don't mean nothing. It's just a learning curve, and you you know, you gotta keep going.

Nancy Bruscher

Do you find it's hard to take these small steps? You're saying, I felt this calling for the YouTube, and so I started it even not knowing, and then you've seen it grow and change, and I feel like sometimes that's great, and sometimes it's not so easy and great.

Anthony Lucas

Yeah, I think one of my biggest frustrations is you know, in my mind, I'm thinking, okay, well, God called me to this, this thing's gonna launch, and I mean, you know, we're gonna have five million subscribers in a couple and uh and I'm not I'm five years in, I've got well over uh 500 uh videos on the YouTube side, and I'm like under 500 subscribers, you know, and the in the um the podcast side since I I've only been doing it since last year is when I kind of moved, transitioned into that. And uh, and I'm gonna tell you, I've had a lot of fun with it. It's just like, you know, because it's like I get to preach and do the things that I, you know, do, but I'm reaching a different audience. And so, which is you know, my ministry mindset from you know from early on, but with my mentors that was around me was you know, we don't do, you know, doing the norm is okay sometimes, but don't be afraid to step out of the box. And so to do something different

Praying For Open Or Closed Doors

Anthony Lucas

that God's calling you to do. And you know, and so I've done a lot of crazy stuff, you know, with my youth group. I did a lock out instead of a lock-ins. I mean, just stuff like that. And so I think it's kind of transitioned into what I'm doing now, uh, you know, because maybe I don't do things exactly the way everybody else does, but um, but the it's just like God's called me to to evangelize and to especially in the time that we live in. I think the church needs to be challenged a lot more. And so I really think that that's kind of what you know the role that God has called me into is, you know, and a lot of times when I'm doing these these messages, I'm like, uh, since y'all were here, you get to listen, but this one's for me, you know. So, you know, but uh and so I've just had I've had a lot of fun with it. And it's just you know, I don't know where it's going. I don't it may be that this is the the deal where it is, but if it reaches you know one person that you know finds Christ, then you know, hey, it was all worth it. So, but uh but evangelism is one of my strong spiritual gifts, the strongest one. And so uh and so anytime I get a chance to talk about you know Christ, I'm like, yep, let's go. Uh just do it.

Nancy Bruscher

Okay, I

The Lockout That Students Loved

Nancy Bruscher

have to ask, what is a lockout? Okay, we did a I was like, okay, you said that, but we have to find out what that means.

Anthony Lucas

Well, you know, you're normally your lock-ins is you go in a building, you shut the doors and whatever, and you do stuff all night. Well, we had had an outdoor event where we had music and stuff and food and all this stuff all day, and we were going to have the worship service outside the next day. So the youth group was kind of the security, you know. But you know, so we did, I got church made up, which like Chain says I was locked out, and uh but we stayed outside the whole night, never went, you know, if they had to use the restrooms or whatever, they could go in and do that. But I mean, we played games and had pizza and just you know, played music and just I mean, just it was a blast. And uh, we were just out in the big field, and you know, of course the tent and stuff was there, and and then when if they got tired, uh some of them went in and turned the chairs around and made themselves beds and laid down and whatever. And so, because it was on a Saturday and we had the church sun, you know, Sunday morning. So, and uh the pastor was like, You can't be sleeping in the service. But it was but we actually got to do two of those, and uh the students uh loved it, and so but it was a lot of fun. It was just it was different, you know, something that they had never done before, and you know, and I thought I thought it was pretty fun. Made a lot of great memories those couple times we did that. Oh, that's really cool.

When Big Dreams Meet Slow Growth

Nancy Bruscher

That's really cool. What you said really resonated with me. If I could share something, so I started my podcast over four years ago, and I had a clear calling as well. Uh I went to a women's conference and a woman, or right before the woman came on stage, they asked us to get into groups and pray. And so everyone went around. They asked everyone just to say one word if they didn't feel comfortable. So everyone said one word, like patience, you know, something like that. I was the last one, and I actually kind of went all out with what God had put on my heart. I said, you know, I felt like God's calling me to do a podcast. I have the name, just like you did. Ordinary people, extraordinary things. And I said, I don't have time, but really it was about failing. What if I what if I do this and no one listens? And, you know, how will that affect me? And so I actually said, God, I don't want to hear you. And I put my hands over my ears. Then this woman that I'd never met came on stage. She's talking about obeying, you know, and all of this stuff. And then she actually said, Maybe you're thinking, God, I don't want to hear you, said the exact same words, put her hands over her ears, and everyone I had just been praying with looked at me and was like, What? You know, and so it was so clear. It was so clear. It was like, oh my gosh. So I stopped disobeying. I started the podcast within a month, and like you, I was like, oh my gosh, I had a clear calling from God, like not audible from him, but clearly audible through another person. And I thought the same thing. Oh my goodness, this is gonna go crazy, it's gonna be so big. Oh my goodness, like, get ready. And it's not and like you, it's not like no one's listening at all, but it's so interesting how God didn't tell me it's gonna be number one podcast in the world. He didn't say that. That's what I said.

Anthony Lucas

Yeah, that was my that was my idea, too. And he's like, mm-mm, yeah, break time.

Nancy Bruscher

So it it's interesting that when God calls us to something, sometimes we put expectations on God that He's like, Hey, I didn't say that. It's I just told you to be faithful.

Anthony Lucas

Yeah, yeah, that's it. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, it's it's amazing that how that works. And when, you know, because you you know, it's and and I've heard that you know before, uh, or somebody was talking about how God speaks to us in so so different, you know, many different ways. And it's it's like amazing. You know, there was a lady that spoke at one of our youth events one time, and she was talking about she was wrestling with whatever something, whatever it was. And so she's like, usually when I got stressed, she goes, I used to eat a key lime pie. She goes, and this particular pie company was a Christian pie company. She goes, and so when I got down to the bottom of this pie pan, she goes, There's a scripture in there. She's like, Oh read it, and it's exactly what I need I was looking for, the answer. She's like, So you never know. And I'm like, it's amazing how when we look in certain, I mean, because I've seen license plates with scriptures or something on here's uh uh something in a song, and it's just like boom, and it's just like light bulb. He's like, Okay, God, I get you. Yeah, I hear what you're trying to tell me. So yeah, and I think that's one of the things that we have to do is when we're being obedient, is listening and then you know, root, you know, move and and not set still. And uh, and I think that's hard for us sometimes, you know, because of the fear of oh gosh, I'm gonna fall on my face, this is gonna blow up and whatever. And just uh, but I think we did it's just a matter of you know, that obedience, get up and move, you know, and go. And you know, leave it caution to the wind and God will take care of it.

Regret And How God Uses The Past

Nancy Bruscher

Yeah, that's good. That's good. One of the things that came up in my mind as you're speaking is you kind of left your faith when you were a teenager.

Anthony Lucas

Is that a yes? Um, whenever I left my grandmother's, because she'd gotten sick with cancer and and but it uh previously it wasn't too much longer after, and and but uh you know, I was hit that teenage years and I knew everything. And I didn't like and she was pretty strict with me, you know, when I was living there. You know, I had chores, I cut the grass, you know. She'd lived through the depression. So I mean it was that mentality with her, you know, she used to make me come in the kitchen, you're gonna be a bachelor someday, you need to learn how to cook, you know. It was that. And um, but so when I hit teenage years, of course, I'm I moved back or went to my dad back in, you know, in with my dad because I wanted to be out there doing guy stuff with my you know, half-brother, and you know, and then I wasn't good enough. And it was like I was running and what I did. And I ended up with my mom, and you know, and I look back at my life at some of the things I did when I lived with her. I'm like, God had the hand in it because I'd have been dead or in jail. You know, it's just like uh, but he had a plan. And you know, now looking back all these years, I'm like, I tell people, I said, that's the only regret I have is not following him sooner. And uh, and so, but I was like, I wouldn't trade anything because it's allowed such a heightened experience, you know, as like that verse, you know, God uses all things, you know. And so I'm like, yep, he sure has, because I mean it's allowed me to be able to key in on students and or whatever that I'm working with, be able to help them understand and uh some of the things that they're going through as well. And then plus two, my kids couldn't get away with anything because I'd done been there, done that. Me and my wife both were were like, yep, nothing you're all gonna do. We haven't done ourselves.

Nancy Bruscher

So well, and also your daughter kind of brought you back when she was a teenager, yeah.

Anthony Lucas

And so it shows you how she was much smarter than her dad. But uh, but she had some good friends uh that that invited her and she went, and uh, but uh Genesis Fellowship when uh we started there, I hadn't, of course, you know, I hadn't been in church in many, sorry, 16 years at least, uh, when we started. And uh, but they did so much outreach and just out of the box stuff. And you know, it was a contemporary worship, you know, you just come as you are, and you all it's just but we Felt at home. I mean, it wasn't like one of those where you you're there for a while and then kind of get used. It was just like when you went in, it was like, okay, I I feel comfortable here. I like you know what I'm feeling, and it's just like the people were just fantastic. But uh one of the uh that's one of the things I used to love about you know is I learned so much about outreach. And um, you know, we used to do free car washes and stuff like that all the time. And we shut the church down. We did a sermon series called Outflow.

Outreach That Redefined Church

Anthony Lucas

Can't even tell you the the sermon series and what they were all about, other than it was like showing like God how it feels and overflows into the bottom tiers and uh us kind of an evangelistic thing. But the last Sunday of it, we had an older couple stay at the church building in case visitors showed up, but we weren't there. We were doing car wash free, we were at uh like McDonald's and whatever, emptying trays for people, uh cleaning windows and pumping gas. It was just uh we went out into the community to share Christ and to serve the people. And that was probably the one of the most best memories that I can think of, you know, throughout my my years there at uh GF. And and so it really taught me a lot about you know what church should be. And uh, you know, now we as the kingdom, you know, or kingdom growers should be acting. And so, and I'm like, man, I just I just loved it.

Everyday Kindness On The Road

Nancy Bruscher

I hear you say kindnesses, and this is always one of my questions is what kindness have you seen or what kindness have you given in the last week? You talked about the kindness of you know, going out and doing the McDonald's trays and stuff. What's something that you've done or seen lately?

Anthony Lucas

Well, we you know, especially being out here on the road, you know, being able to help, you know, sometimes you just you help other drivers if they got something going on with their truck, or you know, you know, maybe it's open a door, and yeah, there's been times that uh you know you see someone that doesn't, you know, homeless or whatever and it doesn't have enough money and you go ahead and get them get them something. You know, you see stuff like that all the time. And uh one of the things, you know, you know, being out, you know, we have to take showers and stuff at truck stops, and there's been several times drivers will come in and won't have any shower credits, and it's like 18 bucks for a shower, you know, and I got 11. So I'll go ahead and you know give them that. And but um uh like you know, got a good friend that talks to. Matter of fact, I met him through doing uh my podcast or the YouTube and stuff. He he picked me up, started following me somehow or another. I got to meet him and we've turned into a pretty good friend. Uh, so I get to talk to him and kind of counsel with him a little bit sometimes when he's got some rough stuff going on or whatever. So I, you know, I look for those opportunities. And I don't like self-checkouts because I want to talk to the person behind the the the counter. And so, you know, you just kind of look at them for feeling down, you know, do something, you know, say something silly to kind of pick them up or you know, because sometimes if you go in to buy some, you know, you might be getting a taco, but ask them you want to order a large pizza, you know, just you know, just because it kind of throws them off and you know, kind of gets you know gets them their attention. So I like doing stuff like that. So I look for ways to kind of brighten people's day if uh if possible.

Nancy Bruscher

Yeah, we have we do a lot of road tripping as a family, and we have been one of those people where our truck has broken down. So if someone has stopped, that's always such a kindness.

Anthony Lucas

Yes. I know, and it's kind of you know, nowadays it's kind of hard to whether you want to do that or not. Um, you know, but uh but if I get the opportunity, if I can if I can get over or pull in there, yeah, I'll I want to help you. And so, and you know, and I've done that a few times and uh and I enjoy doing it. So uh because I've God's blessed me with the the ability to be able to rent on some vehicles, and I've learned a lot over the years. And uh you know, the truck that I have now is a 2014 RAM uh with a diesel, and it's got 550,000 miles on it, and you know, and and I've done almost all the work, you know, any kind of maintenance or any, and that's I was just like, you know, so if I can help someone in that manner, I'll definitely do it. And so I just I look for opportunities to serve, and however I do that.

Nancy Bruscher

Did you say 550,000?

Anthony Lucas

Yes. Wow. Yes. That truck has been to all 48 states and it's been to Canada twice. Wow, that's so cool. Wow. But uh and it's in the my grandson, the oldest one, named it because it's brown, it's a western brown, and uh, and he was, of course, I've had it for over, you know, what is it? It's been over five years now. And uh he named it Viper because he said it reminded him of Pit Viper. And so that's the truck's name, Viper, and it's in you know, almost every one of my videos that I do with RV transport stuff, uh, it's it's in there, and I've it's it's taught a lot of people things about RV, you know, about you know, working on, you know, the you know, changing, I've changed the transmission a couple times, and we've had I've had to do some other stuff, so I've used it for that. So it's definitely it's a well-known uh truck of people that know me. And uh I've got to meet uh quite a few people and I've made some great friends along the way as I've been out, and so I look for those opportunities to continue to build those relationships.

That's

Gratitude And Favorite Bible Verses

Nancy Bruscher

awesome. What are you grateful for?

Anthony Lucas

Uh just the things that God's doing, you know, it's like a lot of you know, there's been times I'm like throwing my hands up and like help me understand what what's going on right now, you know. Uh, you know, I've hit some rough patch, you know, here a few, you know, it's been a little while back, but just you know, watching God be faithful and you know, and calm me down and just be able to like, listen, you know, I got you. Just hang on, okay? I got something better. You know, and I tell people all the time, I was like, I think that uh, you know, the RB transport, uh, I was never meant to stay there. And it was a temporary thing, and so God's never let me get comfortable there, so I wouldn't stay there, you know, and so um so but I think that's probably one of the biggest blessings is just you know watching him put up with me for for one, some of the things, but you know, just but just guiding me uh and helping me do you know navigate what comes next. And you know, and I'm pretty excited about it. So it's like what you know, I I'm getting finally getting in that mentality. It's like, okay, let's go. Whatever you want, let's let's just do it, you know, because I know it's gonna be fun when we get there. You know, it might be a little rough getting there, but once we arrive, it'll be fine.

Nancy Bruscher

That's a great, a great mentality. What is your favorite Bible verse or story?

Anthony Lucas

Oh my gosh, man, we get we could talk all day. There's just but I think one of the ones that like really just pops out in my head is that you know, the uh Philippians 4 13. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. And you know, because when I really studied into that one, I was like, because you first you think about it's like, well, I can accomplish this because he gives me strength. Nope. It's just like no matter what it is in life, I mean, even the good stuff, getting up to go to work, you can't do that without him giving you that strength. And so you can't deal with uh you know the tough stuff in life without his strength. And so I so I think that one right there really, I mean, just um just like resonates with me and probably my go-to is remembering that one, you know. I always try to remember that, you know, and then like Matthew 6 33, you know, store up you know, treasures in heaven, not on earth, you know. So I you know, I try to keep those thoughts, but I but the whole thought process is is you know, I can't do nothing without him, and so you know, that's why I lean on that one probably the most.

Nancy Bruscher

Yeah, no, that's good. That's good. Well,

Anthony Lucas

Oh, yeah, it's been a lot of fun.

Nancy Bruscher

Anthony Lucas

It is on the road with Pastor Anthony.

Nancy Bruscher

Well, I hope people start listening or start watching on your YouTube, and we'll put those in the in the show notes. And it's just been fun getting to talk to you and again just these connections and just seeing where God's gonna lead both of our both of our endeavors.

Anthony Lucas

Oh yeah, for sure, for sure. And so, yeah, it's definitely gonna be you know, we still got you know, growing and learning. That's why I tell somebody, it's like if you ain't learning something every day, then you're going backwards. And so you just, you know, let's keep going and just always move forward and you know, and just let God lie, you know, let him do the guide, and then we'll just follow along, you know. So that's what we're supposed to do anyways, as his disciples.

Nancy Bruscher

That's so true. Well, we'll end on that and add ordinary people extraordinary things, your story is his glory.
